Eleven-year-old stableboy Marco and his talking horse Scout journey through the Southern badlands -- and almost immediately find themselves in a whirlwind adventure with a band of desperados! Separated by a disastrous chase with the law, Marco and Scout must find one another and make it out of the badlands alive... but the leader of the desperados may have the answers Marco has been looking for in his ongoing quest to lift the curse from a mysterious satchel. Meanwhile, errant knight Martin has joined the bandit forces of The River Fox.
